Royal Parks Foundation

Spanning 5,000 acres, the Royal Parks have made a world of difference to the lives of Londoners for over 500 years.

  • Their extensive sports fields promote fitness and healthy competition amongst young people
  • Their wildflower meadows and lakes provide a safe haven for a staggering range of wildlife
  • Their ancient monuments and listed landscapes are a vital ingredient of Britain's heritage and history
  • Their woodlands and green spaces help reduce pollution and city stress

However, the Parks can't look after themselves, which is where the Royal Parks Foundation comes in. Established as a registered charity in May 2003, our aim is to protect, conserve and enhance these wonderful, shared green spaces, as well as to protect wildlife and develop strong community partnerships. We want visitors to experience the excitement of nature in the heart of London for generations to come.

The Royal Parks are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Regent's Park with Primrose Hill , The Green Park, St James's Park, Bushy Park and the Longford River, Richmond Park and Greenwich Park.
