As well as running in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, we would like to encourage all runners to consider raising funds for your favourite cause. Fundraising can be a daunting prospect and one that many people unconsciously choose to sideline whilst fitting their physical training in. However, fundraising can not only be fun but can really increase your sense of satisfaction after the race.
We would like to thank our friends at the Institute of Fundraising who have very kindly put together the following pages on how to raise funds simply and effectively alongside your training schedule. These take the format of a short checklist followed by a more comprehensive guide to raising funds:
Planning it
Doing it
Following up & the law

Codes of Fundraising Practice
The Institute of Fundraising has developed the Codes of Fundraising Practice to provide a guide to the law and best practice in relation to fundraising activity throughout the United Kingdom. Find all the Codes of Best Practice on the Institute of Fundraising’s website.
