Brakes Food & Fitness Festival situated in Hyde Park, which will be a free celebration of good food and healthy living for the whole family to enjoy.
The Brakes Food & Fitness Festival opens at 11.30am and will have a whole host of household names exhibiting their latest and tastiest foods plus Farmers Market stalls with some of the country’s best home grown produce for you to sample and purchase. There will also be a range of fun and sporting activities for everyone to try, big screen entertainment and music plus lots of competitions and giveaways.
Make sure you encourage your friends and family to come along for the day to support you along the course and enjoy this free festival day out. The action will go on until 16:00, so no matter what time you run the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon you and your supporters can enjoy the festivities.
British Military Fitness
Modifying their usual outdoor workout session, BMF is conducting a fun and motivating workout session designed primarily for adults - of all shapes and sizes. In contrast to the indoor gym workout, these sessions are designed for people to enjoy their exercise within their surroundings.
Hampstead & Westminster Hockey Club
Learning various elements of the fast paced and fun sport of hockey, participants will be given the opportunity to show off their stick skills and practice various game tricks, take shots at goal and join in a small sided game.
Right to Play
Using a giant inflatable, individuals will have the speed at which they can kick a football measured.
Right to Play / Sports Search
Right to Play have designed various small sided games to take place in their 10m x 10m space. These games will be alternated every hour with the quest to search for future talent within the sporting field.
Hyde Park Tennis
Set up as a giant inflatable activity the Hyde Park tennis centre encourages people to test their powers of accuracy as they attempt to hit the predetermined targets using a racquet and ball.
Parkour Generations
Ever entertained the idea of free running? Parkour is the art of movement, usually done with grace and style. Obstacles including gym equipment will be arranged to encourage people to attend the workshops conducted by Parkour.
Access Sport
How about challenging three-time Olympian Bradley Wiggins on the bike? Pre-recorded times will enable participants to race against Bradley Wiggins on a stationary bike.
SUPERchick
After every run, a thorough cool down should be completed and this is precisely what SUPERchicks intend to provide. Armed with proper techniques and appropriate stretching exercises SUPERchicks will guide 30 participants at a time through their pre designed cool down routine intended to minimise the pain and after effects of the half marathon.
Army Climbing Wall
The Army will have a climbing wall present for people to have a go. This is located adjacent to their recruitment tent and PT area.
Sweatshop
Visit the Sweatshop marquee and see why they have been voted ‘best running retailer’ 2007 & 2008 by Runner’s World Magazine. Sweatshop will have a range of running specialist equipment for you to purchase. You’ll also be able to recycle your old trainers, so make sure you bring them along.

Like your official bamboo running T-shirt? Visit the Crew store where you’ll be able to purchase a whole range of official Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon kit. The kit is sustainably sourced and 25% of all sales go the The Royal Parks Foundation.
